praktische infos

where does the festival take place?

The festival takes place at the Cénacle, the home of Raphael, co-founder of the possitopia project. The old farmhouse is located in an idyllic setting in the heart of the Normandy bocage, just a few minutes outside the village of Champsecret. It is a space dedicated to the arts, creativity, community and regenerative culture, which aims to host small festivals, events, retreats, workshops and other formats on a regular basis over the coming years. Please note that a friendly dog also lives on site.

how to get there?

The exact address is:

202 Rue du Jardin Ouest, 61700 Champsecret, France

GPS : 48.61036404420973, -0.5666869474582537

The nearest train station is Flers, from which we will organise a shuttle service at a nominal charge. Flers is on the direct regional train line from Paris Montparnasse to Granville, just over two hours from Paris. You can book your tickets here.

You can also cycle from Flers along the „voie verte“. If you come by bike, you’ll be offered refreshments at the bar!

If you’re coming by car and there are spaces available, we warmly invite you to suggest carpooling on our Signal group. Alternatively, don’t hesitate to check it out and use it if you’re looking for one!

catering

Full catering is included in the tickets and will consist exclusively of plant-based products. Expect meals that are nutritious, varied, made with organically grown ingredients, predominantly local and in season, grown or made by trusted suppliers, cooked with love and passion, all in a circular approach. Please let us know in advance if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions that we need to take into account. You will be given this option on the registration form.

accessibility

This is the first season of events at the Cénacle and the venue does not yet comply with standards for all types of disability. Don’t hesitate to contact us directly for more information and to see if we can adapt!

The main language of communication for announcements will be French. We will, however, encourage simultaneous translation systems in other languages depending on possibilities and availability.

can I bring my pet?

Unfortunately not at the moment. We don’t yet have the space to accommodate them and we can’t take responsibility for any problems with people who are allergic or phobic.

cancellation and refund

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can always arise. Up to 14 days before the event, we will be able to cancel your booking and refund you directly. So please give us plenty of notice! After this date, refunds will only be possible if someone has taken your place. You can either send someone else from your family or friends, or ask us to put your ticket back on sale. Thank you for your understanding!

accomodation

The purchase of a festival ticket includes camping on site. Please bring your own camping equipment. Showers and compost toilets will be available, as well as water access and a mobile phone recharging facility.

For those who would prefer to be accommodated away from the farm, there are other nice little projects or „gîtes“ in the area:

– l’Oisiveraie : B&B and fermentation laboratory, 20 minutes away by bike, and if you wish, for the most part on the beautiful „voie verte“

– la Yourte sous les poiriers : accommodation in a small house or yurt, a 25-minute bike ride away (61700 Domfront)

– le Gîte L’Être aux Amiards : old house with stove, enclosed garden and pets welcome (FR-1-497-15, 61700 Champsecret)

– le Gîte de la Voie Verte : comfortable family „gîte“ with play area and garden, near „voie verte“ and river (FR-1-497-132, 61700 Dompierre)

– le Studio at Belle Vallée (61700 Domfront)

– la Pommeraie, right next to the Cénacle (61700 Champsecret)

– some Japanese guestrooms (53250 Javron-les-Chapelles)

A non-exhaustive list, of course!

bar

In addition to our drinking water points, which are accessible at all times, our refreshment area will be open throughout the weekend. We’ll be offering a wide range of homemade drinks and lemonades, some of them fermented, invigorating, complex and refreshing. In the second half of Saturday evening, we’ll also be opening a few kegs of good local beer and selected bottles!

Signal group

We invite you to join our Signal group, where we’ll be sharing additional information and practical tips over the next few months. This is an open group where you can also ask us questions or suggest carpooling. This group is open to everyone, even those who don’t yet have a ticket for the festival or show. The following article serves as a code of conduct for responsible and respectful use of the group.

respect and kindness

(see our full charter here – in French)

We defend freedom of opinion and expression, but also their limits. We do not tolerate hateful, abusive, racist, sexist, negationist or violence-promoting comments or behaviour. Any form of harassment or discrimination, including homophobic or transphobic, is also prohibited.

Through our events, we aim to create safe spaces where people can develop fully and freely, whatever their social or ethnic origin, gender, body or uniqueness. To this end, we formulate and implement awareness-raising and intervention concepts.

We are fundamentally aware of, and critical of, the relations of power and domination prevalent in our societies. The possitopia collective is driven by humanist, egalitarian values, respect for differing opinions and benevolence. Potential disputes are settled in a well-argued, structured and non-violent manner.
