Masks of the future

After an introduction to topics relating to climate change and the waste of resources, the participants first diligently collected materials and then worked together to make the masks. Basic art and crafting techniques were taught and explored, and the children were given free rein to do their own research.

With a view to participating in the “Carnival for the Future” street parade on 12 June 2021, a giant bee made of papier-mâché was developed at the end. The aim: to set an example for more climate protection and creativity on the streets of Berlin-Neukölln with numerous other initiatives and participants.
