festival

The time has come.
We are pleased to announce:
possitopia
festival
#1: 2084
25 – 27 July 2025
at the Cénacle, 61700 Champsecret, France
idea
A weekend festival of sound, visual, performance and culinary arts. An experimental, participatory, cross-disciplinary format on a human scale (max. 80 people on site). An exercise in introspection and prospecting around the major issues and multi-crises shaping our times. A questioning of our relationship, as a species, to the living world, and our position within the planet’s ecosystems. A social experiment based on encounters, exchanges and collaboration. An unfinished, evolving festival concept, co-created and co-written in an open and playful way with the participants.
Titillating curiosity, stimulating creativity, encouraging people to think outside the box in their approach to the world and themselves, and in their social and artistic practices. Combining scientific research and the power of the imagination, dreams and realities, so that together we can explore possible futures, possitopias, and transcend the reductionist utopia-dystopia dualism.
A tailor-made artistic creation upstream, based on a draft scenario, but enriched by the participants as part of a first part of the programme devoted to meetings and co-creative workshops. On Saturday evening, an immersive, multi-sensory show open to the public, followed by a festive moment, and then an ideas-incubating Sunday.
scenario
[under construction]
In 2084, there are only a few hundred million human beings left on planet Earth after the great catastrophes of the 2050s. Among them, a team of scientists has managed to preserve the sum of knowledge that humanity has accumulated since the first civilisations. Like many others, the group is travelling in search of the last habitable and arable areas on Earth. Along the way, they come across a small community that has developed surprisingly resilient forms of organisation.
Together, like so many before them, they make an ambitious plan to lay the foundations for a new way of human life on Earth. The emergence of this oasis makes the rounds among the other survivors, and the influx of refugees increases inexorably. Gradually, this new society attempts to organise and structure itself, particularly around a mysterious connected centre that helps with spatial planning and managing resource flows.
In order not to repeat the mistakes of the past, it is decided to organise a major retrospective event that will shed light on the history of human civilisations while providing a space for encounters, exchanges and conviviality…

ticketing
We offer two options and, for each option, a price range starting at the minimum price needed to cover the most basic production and catering costs. If you wish and have the means, please do feel free to contribute even more generously. Please note that this year, for this pilot project, the production team and artists are working on a voluntary basis. Any surplus generated will be reinvested in the possitopia project, the non-profit FMR association behind it, and therefore in the development of the Cénacle’s reception infrastructure and cultural offering. Of course, you can also make a donation to the association during or after the festival.
For those of you for whom even the minimum price should be a financial barrier to participation, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us directly – we’re sure we’ll find a way to work something out!
Due to the limited capacity of the venue and our desire to create events on a human scale, the number of tickets is very limited. Be quick!
Please note: In order to organize the catering in the best possible way (included in the ticket price), especially the concept-dinner on Saturday evening, reservation is mandatory, both for festival passes and single-show tickets. We will not be selling any tickets on-site. Thank you for your understanding.
For insurance purposes, we ask you to pay a one-off membership fee of €5 per person to the FMR association. You can join online beforehand using this form or on site using a paper form, to be paid in cash on arrival.
